Director/
Choreographer
Eric has been directing and choreographing professionally for years, helming productions in multiple markets, from notable regional theaters (MTWichita, Phoenix Theatre Co, Music Theatre West, and Theatre Workshop of Nantucket) to high school theatre departments (Saddle River Day School and St. Joseph’s Regional), at the University level, and educational programs such as WCPSS/Broadway Series South in Raleigh and Orbit Arts Academy in Atlanta.
A product of his training, curiosity, and his vast and varied career as a performer, working with iconic directors and choreographers such as Graciele Daniele, Wayne Cilento, Christopher Wheeldon and Casey Nicholaw, Eric excels in multiple styles of theatre and dance. His staging and choreography is always narrative-based, character driven, and full of exuberance and -where appropriate- humor, while stylistically honoring the show, genre or time-period.
While holding himself and others to a high standard and a tireless work ethic, Eric leads with trust and encouragement, creates a safe and supportive environment that allows people to achieve more than they thought possible, and helps performers of all experience levels succeed, while making exciting and entertaining theatre for the audiences!
“Sciotto’s staging for 9 to 5 was clever and tight, and his choreography was visceral and muscular, showing the workers’ struggle to move through their day…”

“Foster and O’Hara confessed they’d had so little time to rehearse for the show, yet they never missed… a step of Eric Sciotto’s succinct and winning choreography. ” -Christopher Coz / Manhattan Digest 2023
“Choreographer Eric Sciotto too creates his own show-stopping footwork that pays tribute to Bennett, Fosse, Robbins and more, most especially in in “A Musical!”, a musical theater reference-packed showstopper that may well break the MTW record for longest sustained applause and cheers, with “Make An Omelette” coming in a close second.”
